The other important unit of determining electricity is Frequency, which is measured in Hertz (Hz). In Nigeria, our frequency is 50Hz & USA is 60Hz,that is why apart from differences in voltages some equipment brought from USA won't work well in Nigeria.

 

Consumer voltage in Nigeria is 240V.

 

Power is transmitted in Nigeria at 330KV, 132KV and in some cases 33KV.
